Virgil Allen Chron (1900-1976)

RALLS (Special) Funeral services for Virgil Chron, 76, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Chron died Monday night in Lubbock’s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer. Chron moved to Ralls in 1925 from his birthplace, Howland. Survivors include four sons, Virgil Allen of Anchorage, Alaska, E.C. of Carrollton, Bob of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ivan of Ralls; a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Orm of Weatherford; four sisters, Mrs. E.D. Wells Sr. of Ralls, Mrs. Laverne Meachman of Lubbock, Mrs. Glen Hogue of Paris and Mrs. T.C. Smith.
