Nellie Jackson Chron (1905 – 1975)

RALLS (Special) – Services for Mrs. Nellie Chron, 70,of Ralls will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls. Mrs. Chron died at 5 p.m. Thursday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness. A native of Howland, Mrs. Chron moved to Ralls in 1925. Survivors include her husband, Virgil; four sons, V. Allen of Anchorage, Alaska, E.C. of Carrolton, Bob of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ivan of Ralls; a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Orm of Weatherford; a brother, Joe Jackson of Cone; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Hobbs and Mrs. Estelle Doss, both of Lubbock; her mother, Mrs. Essie Funston of Lubbock; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
