Florence Kitty Harris (1893 – 1982)

Charleston Mo.: Florence Kitty Harris 89 of 208 E. Iron Bank Road died Sunday at 3:50 am at Missouri Delta Community Hospital at Sikeston.

Florence Kitty Haley was born: April 24, 1893 in Louisiana, Mo., Daughter of the late Joseph L. and Lucinda Chron Haley. She had lived in Mississippi county most of her life and was a member of Wyatt Pentecostal Holiness Church.

On June 10, 1910 she married Estel Monroe Harris, who died Sept. 2, 1963.  Two sons, two daughters and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are: four sons, John Harris, James Harris, Jewel Harris and Junior Harris all of Charleston; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Frances) Evans and Mrs. Dewey (Nina) Heppe also of Charleston; and 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4:30 pm today at McMikle Funeral Home, where services are scheduled at 2 pm Tuesday with the Rev.Eddie Cagle of Mayfield, Ky. officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Greg Heppe, Dewey K. Heppe, Stanley Harris, Carl Moore, Alfred Harris and David Harris.
