Funeral services for Billy Fred Chron, 48, of Montgomery will be held Monday, June 21, 1982 at 12 noon in the Metcalf Chapel of the Pines with the Rev. Robert W. Owens and Houston Police Chaplain Hannah officiating. Masonic Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery under the auspices of Reagan Lodge A.F. & A.M. #1037. Metcalf Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Chron was born October 20, 1933 in Houston and passed away June 18, 1982 in Conroe. He was a retired detective with the Houston Police Department after 20 years of service. Mr. Chron was also a member of the Reagan Lodge A.F. & A.M. #1037 and Order of the Eastern Star Montgomery Chapter #228. He was also a lifetime member of the Houston Police Officers Association. Survivors: wife, Mary Ellen Chron of Montgomery; two daughters, Kimberley Chron and Hollien Chron both of Montgomery; mother Lucille Chron of Houston; mother-in-law, Gladys Hightower of Huntsville; uncle, W.S. Chron of Conroe; and cousin, Hal Watson of Spring. Pallbearers: members of the Houston Police Department.
